About the university

The Universitat de València (UV) is one of Spain's oldest universities. The city drew up its founding Constitucions in 1499, and the university was confirmed by a papal bull in 1501 and a royal privilege in 1502. It is a large public university with 18 faculties on three campuses in and around Valencia.

UV covers almost every field: medicine and health sciences, sciences, economics and business, law, humanities and engineering. Its chemistry faculty and the Institute of Molecular Science (ICMOL) are behind its English-taught master's in nanoscience and advanced materials.

For Indian students the attraction is public-university fees. Non-EU students from abroad pay €70.68 per credit for most official master's, about €4,240 for a 60-credit year. UV lists six master's taught fully in English, including Economics and the International Business Management (iMBA) programme; most others are taught in Spanish or Valencian.

Valencia is a large Mediterranean city. Two of UV's campuses, Blasco Ibáñez and Tarongers, are in the city, and the third is at Burjassot-Paterna.

    Careers and graduate outcomes

UV does not publish employment figures for international master's graduates that we could verify. Most local jobs expect Spanish, so pairing an English-taught master's with Spanish lessons helps. See our Spain country guide for post-study work options.
