About the university

The University of Chichester traces its origins to 1839, when a college for training schoolmasters was founded in Chichester in memory of Bishop William Otter. It became the University of Chichester in 2005 and now teaches on two campuses in West Sussex, in Chichester and Bognor Regis. Its awards page highlights sports science, drama and dance, psychology and social work, and it holds a TEF Gold rating.

For Indian students the 2027/28 international fee is £17,354 a year for most bachelor's degrees and about £16,200 to £18,180 for most one-year master's courses. Applicants need 60% in Class 12 for a bachelor's or a good second-class degree for a master's, and Chichester may waive IELTS for 70% or more in Class 12 English. A £3,500 (undergraduate) or £3,000 (master's) first-year scholarship is awarded automatically to self-funded students from South Asia.
