About the university
Royal Holloway brings together two 19th-century colleges for the education of women: Bedford College, founded in 1849, and Royal Holloway College, founded in 1886 by Thomas Holloway. It is part of the University of London.
It is known for its Information Security Group, computer science, business and economics, and for research: the university says it is in the top 25% of UK universities for research rated world-leading or internationally excellent (REF 2021).
For Indian students the main draws are the University of London name, a campus near London and an automatic £6,000 India Masters Scholarship for 2027 entry. Most computing master's courses cost £25,500 and business and finance courses £28,100, and many accept a UK 2:2 (55–60% from an Indian university).
The campus is in Egham, Surrey, 19 miles from central London and seven miles from Heathrow Airport. Its Founder's Building and Picture Gallery sit at the heart of the campus.
