About the university

Queen Mary University of London is a public research university in east London and a member of the Russell Group. Its history goes back to 1785, and it now teaches across the full range of subjects, from engineering and computer science to law, business, medicine and dentistry.

It is best known for medicine and dentistry, law, economics and its School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. Most master's courses take one year full time and start in September.

The main Mile End campus sits beside Regent's Canal in east London, with its own halls of residence. Some halls are in nearby Stratford, and postgraduate law is taught in central London at Lincoln's Inn Fields.
