About the university

Norland, founded in Bath in 1892 by Emily Ward, calls itself the world's first university dedicated to early childhood. It teaches one undergraduate programme: a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Education and Care taken alongside the practical Norland Diploma, which leads to the title Norland Nanny.

Norland says it welcomes a small number of international students each year on a Student visa. The degree takes three years, followed by a fourth year in paid full-time work as a Newly Qualified Nanny, for which international graduates apply for the Graduate visa. Its MA is distance learning only, so it is not listed here.
