About the university
The New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE) is a small specialist institute in Hereford teaching engineering and construction. Its degrees are accelerated: a BEng or BSc takes two years and an MEng three, studied 9 to 5 on weekdays in small student teams with no lecture theatres and no traditional exams. Courses include Integrated Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Autonomous Robotics and Construction Management, and the Integrated Engineering degrees are accredited by the IET.
NMITE welcomes international students and issues a CAS once you accept an unconditional offer and pay a £3,000 deposit. For Indian students, the accelerated format means fewer years of fees and living costs: the international fee for 2027/28 is £18,000 a year, so a two-year BEng costs £36,000 in tuition. A-level maths and physics are not required, as they are taught in the course.
