About the university

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is a postgraduate school of public and global health in Bloomsbury, central London, founded in 1899. It teaches one-year MSc degrees in subjects such as epidemiology, health data science, medical statistics, infectious diseases, global mental health and tropical medicine, plus research degrees and distance learning. It has about 1,200 face-to-face master's and doctoral students and research income of more than £190 million a year.

Indian doctors, pharmacists, life scientists and public health graduates choose LSHTM for its specialist focus and research links in India, including work with the Indian Council of Medical Research and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
