About the university
Leeds Trinity University grew from two Catholic teacher-training colleges that opened in Horsforth, Leeds, in 1966 and merged in 1980. It gained taught degree awarding powers in 2009 and later full university status. It is known for teacher education, journalism, psychology and, more recently, business and computing taught at its Leeds City Campus.
