About the university
Keele University was founded in 1949 as the University College of North Staffordshire, the first new university of the 20th century, and received its Charter in 1962. It is a campus university with over 15,000 students on 600 acres of Staffordshire countryside.
Keele is one of only 15 broad-based English universities with TEF Gold in both 2017 and 2023, and it says its research on musculoskeletal disorders is No. 1 in the world. Its alumni number over 100,000 in 120 countries.
Indian students mostly choose one-year master's courses in computing, AI and data science, business analytics, management, finance and public health. Most of these cost £18,900 for 2027/28, can start in September or January, and come with an optional 6–12 month placement. A Postgraduate Global Scholarship of £3,000 to £5,000 is available, and international students who apply by 30 June get guaranteed campus housing.
Manchester and Birmingham are about an hour away, and campus rents start well below London levels.
