About the university

De Montfort University (DMU) is a public university in Leicester. Its art and design teaching goes back to 1870, and today it offers more than 300 courses in business, computing, engineering, art and design, law, health and life sciences.

DMU was shortlisted for Times Higher Education's University of the Year 2026. It was the first UK university to move its undergraduate courses to block teaching, where students take one module at a time, and it has opened campuses in Cambodia and Kazakhstan.
