About the university

BPP University is a private UK university. It grew out of a professional training business founded in 1976 and in 2007 became the first publicly owned company in the UK to gain degree-awarding powers. It is registered with the Office for Students and has more than 33,000 students.

BPP focuses on professional and career-led study through four schools: Law, Business, Nursing and Technology. Its law school runs LLM and law conversion programmes in London and other cities. BPP says it is not included in academic league tables and measures employability outcomes instead.

For Indian students the main attractions are flexible start dates and a single fee for many one-year master's (£19,000 for 2026-2027 at the time of research), with optional 18-month versions that add Professional Development Planning. Teaching is face-to-face at study centres in central London and Manchester.

Most courses on this page are taught at BPP's London study centres, such as Holborn, Waterloo and Portsoken. BPP is a Student visa sponsor and offers international student advisers, including help finding accommodation.
