The University of the Basque Country (EHU) is the public university of the Basque Country in northern Spain. It was founded in 1980 and has about 40,000 students in 20 faculties and schools on three campuses: Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa.

EHU teaches in Basque and Spanish, but it also runs a group of master's fully taught in English. These include quantum science and technology, smart grids, language analysis and processing, economics, environmental toxicology and several Erasmus Mundus programmes.
