About the university
The University of Navarra opened in Pamplona in 1952 as the Estudio General de Navarra and became a full university in 1960. It is a private, non-profit university with a Catholic inspiration, and one of the best-known private universities in Spain.
It is known for medicine (with its own university hospital, the Clínica Universidad de Navarra), communication and journalism, law, economics and business, architecture and engineering at its Tecnun school in San Sebastián. Its business school, IESE, runs MBA, management and finance programmes from Barcelona and Madrid.
Indian students mostly look at its English-taught or bilingual programmes: the Master in Economics and Finance in Pamplona, master's in real estate, fashion management and banking in Madrid, and bilingual bachelor's tracks in business, economics and data analytics. Fees are those of a private university: about €15,000–29,000 a year in 2026/27.
Pamplona is a compact city in northern Spain and generally cheaper to live in than Madrid or Barcelona. Many programmes, especially at master's level, are taught in Madrid, which offers more internships and jobs but higher living costs.
