About the university
UAX Mare Nostrum is the Málaga campus of Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio (UAX), a private Spanish university with more than 30 years of history and its main campus near Madrid. The Málaga campus teaches health sciences, sport, business analytics, computing and AI, and video game design.
Health is its strongest area. The campus has a virtual simulation hospital and a dental clinic, and offers Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Biomedicine alongside official master's in sports physiotherapy and healthcare management.

FUAX Excellence Scholarship (Beca de Excelencia FUAX)
Value: 50% (Bachillerato grade 8.5–8.99), 60% (9–9.59) or 70% (9.6–10) of the teaching fee; reservation and enrolment payments are not covered
Eligibility: New students entering university for the first time in 2026-27 with a school-leaving grade of at least 8.5 out of 10 or equivalent. Applications were open 11–30 June 2026; check the 2027-28 call.

Admission requirements
Undergraduate
- UAX's admission process includes a psycho-pedagogical assessment, a foreign-language level test, an orientation session and, where needed, an interview. UAX says these tests guide rather than exclude.
- Students from non-Spanish-speaking countries take a Spanish test during admission. Courses at this campus are taught in Spanish.
- Indian Class 12 holders must meet Spain's legal requirement for university entry; the enrolment fee is refunded if you cannot meet it.
- After admission you reserve your place and enrol (reservation €800 and enrolment €1,100 for most degrees in 2026/27; €1,600 and €2,250 for Dentistry).
Postgraduate
- Official master's (Máster Universitario) need a bachelor's degree that gives access to master's study in Spain.
- Nursing and physiotherapy master's are for qualified professionals in those fields.

UAX Mare Nostrum does not run its own halls. Students can book places in partner university residences in Málaga through the campus student-benefits service. Room prices are set by each residence.

How much does a bachelor's cost?
For 2026/27 most degrees cost €10,350 to €12,900 a year, including reservation and enrolment. Dentistry is €20,900 a year.

Is there a merit scholarship?
