About the university
Tai Poutini Polytechnic (TPP) is a vocational polytechnic on New Zealand's West Coast, with its main campus in Greymouth and other sites including Westport and Reefton. It teaches hands-on certificates and diplomas in outdoor and adventure education, carpentry, automotive engineering, civil infrastructure, quarrying and mining, hospitality, hard stone and jade carving, business and farming. Its website says TPP is a business division of Te Pūkenga, the New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology, and that programmes are under review and may change.
TPP has an international students page and an international phone line. Only some programme pages show an international fee; the outdoor and adventure education programmes are the clearest options for international students, at NZ$25,000 (Level 4) and NZ$23,000 (Level 5) for the full qualification. Fees are marked indicative and subject to change, so confirm the fee and visa eligibility with TPP's international team before applying.
