About the university
MCAST is Malta's public college for vocational and professional education, set up in 2001. It runs institutes covering applied sciences, business management and commerce, community services, creative arts, engineering and transport, and information and communication technology, with courses from basic certificates up to bachelor's and master's degrees and a professional doctorate.
Its degrees are practical and industry-linked: many include work placements and are designed with Maltese employers in sectors such as aviation maintenance, engineering, IT, gaming and creative industries. The main campus is in Paola, with specialist centres elsewhere on Malta and Gozo.
MCAST accepts non-EU students for full-time courses, with an online application window that closed on 30 June 2026 for the October 2026 intake. Applicants must provide MQRIC statements (Malta's recognition of foreign qualifications), certificates and transcripts in English with apostilled translations, and English proficiency certificates. MCAST does not publish non-EU fees on its international pages; ask its international team for the fee for your course in writing.
For Indian students MCAST can be a route into a hands-on bachelor's in an English-speaking EU country. Check early that your Class 12 or diploma has an MQRIC statement, since this step takes time and MCAST will not process applications without it.
