About the university
Vilnius College, now called Vilnius University of Applied Sciences (Vilniaus kolegija, VIKO), was set up on 1 September 2000 by reorganising three Vilnius higher schools of electronics, economics and trade. Medical, agricultural, pedagogy and technology schools joined in 2001–2002, and it now has nine faculties and 6,554 students.
VIKO awards professional bachelor's degrees, with a strong focus on practical training: it runs business practice firms and the SIMULITH practical training centre, and its programmes include long internships. It reports 94% graduate employability.
For Indian students the attraction is low fees and short, career-focused degrees in English: most programmes cost €2,900 a year, and Software Engineering and Civil Engineering €3,800 a year in 2026/27. Instead of IELTS, every applicant sits VIKO's own English exam.
VIKO is in Vilnius, with its main address at Saltoniškių g. 58-1. It does not provide housing for international degree students, so you must arrange private accommodation before you arrive.
