About the university
The Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga) was founded in 1994 by the Stockholm School of Economics and the Latvian Government. It is a small, selective business school that teaches entirely in English and has more than 3,300 alumni.
SSE Riga runs just two degree programmes: a three-year BSc in Economics and Business, which admits about 150 students a year, and a two-year Executive MBA for experienced managers. Admission to the BSc is by an online test and interview, not by marks alone, and only the top 150 candidates are offered places.
For Indian students, the BSc offers a Swedish-linked, highly selective business degree at a fixed fee of €8,350 a year for non-EU students, with no application fee and up to 20 admissions scholarships open to applicants from any country. There is no SAT requirement.
The school is in Riga's Art Nouveau district, about 10–15 minutes' walk from the city centre, and runs its own student dormitory in the city.
