About the university
The University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) is a private, state-recognised university of applied sciences and one of the few system-accredited private universities in Germany. It began in Iserlohn and now teaches about 7,800 students from more than 140 nationalities on campuses in Berlin, Hamburg, Iserlohn, Potsdam and Dubai.
UE teaches business, sport, tech and software, art and design, and health and psychology. Its tech master's (Data Science, DevOps, Robotics Engineering, Digital Transformations) run at the Innovation Hub in Potsdam, on the SAP 'Think Campus' about 25 minutes from Berlin.
Indian students look at UE for English-taught programmes with flexible lengths (60, 90 or 120 ECTS master's), several intakes a year and simple entry rules: a bachelor's degree and English at B2. As a private university it charges tuition, from about €6,700 a year for bachelor's and €8,200 a year for master's before any savings.
Potsdam is next to Berlin, and UE says it is cheaper to live in than Berlin. Students can live in either city.
