About the university

SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg is a state-recognised private university. The first SRH university was founded in Heidelberg in 1969, and on 1 October 2024 SRH merged its five universities into one, with 18 locations across Germany and about 20,000 students.

SRH teaches in short five-week blocks under its CORE model, and many of its programmes are taught fully in English. Heidelberg offers English-taught degrees in computer science, data science and AI, information technology, engineering, business and architecture. Its Applied Computer Science master's is run in cooperation with SAP.

Indian students look at SRH Heidelberg for its English-taught master's with April and October starts and rolling applications. Unlike public German universities it charges tuition: about €11,000–€14,000 a year for most master's for non-EU students, plus a one-off €1,000 registration fee.

The campus is in Wieblingen, in western Heidelberg on the Neckar, about ten minutes by bike from the Old Town.

      Accommodation and living costs

SRH is not a member of the Studierendenwerk, so its students cannot apply for those halls. The SRH Campus Apartments in Wieblingen, next to campus, offer furnished one-bedroom flats with private bathrooms, but they are often full and run a waiting list. Most students rent privately through flat-share sites and private residences; SRH does not publish rent figures, so allow one to two months to find a room.
