About the university
Rochester Institute of Technology is a private US university in Rochester, New York, founded in 1829 and known for engineering, computing, cybersecurity and design, as well as its co-operative education programme. RIT Dubai opened in 2008 and moved to a purpose-built campus in Dubai Silicon Oasis, a technology park in the east of the city.
RIT Dubai offers American bachelor's degrees in cybersecurity, computing and information technology, electrical and mechanical engineering, finance, marketing, psychology and new media design, and master's degrees in engineering, cybersecurity, engineering management, data analytics, smart cities and leadership. Students graduate with an RIT degree and can spend time at RIT's main campus or its other global campuses.
All bachelor's programmes cost the same: AED 68,000 a year for students admitted from Fall 2023. Master's degrees are priced as a whole programme: AED 117,000 for the MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Cybersecurity (30 credits) up to AED 143,550 for the Smart Cities programme (33 credits). Scholarships of up to 50% are available.
For Indian students, RIT Dubai is a way to earn a US degree with an American, project-based curriculum and co-op culture while living about three hours from home. Dubai Silicon Oasis is further from the city centre than the academic free zones, so check transport and housing options early.
