About the university
The University of Limassol (UoL) is one of the newest universities in Cyprus, but it has a long history. It began in 1990 as the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM), a postgraduate business school known for its MBA and finance programmes. After an evaluation by the Cyprus higher education quality agency, CIIM became the University of Limassol on 1 September 2023.
UoL keeps its business-school character. Its CIIM Business School runs an EFMD-accredited MBA and master's degrees in financial services, real estate, HR, and green and digital management, while its Technology and Innovation School teaches computing, business intelligence and data analytics. Bachelor's degrees cover business, economics, computing, law and psychology.
Classes are small and most programmes are taught in English. Several master's degrees can be completed in 13 or 14 months full time, which keeps total costs down. The university works closely with Limassol's business community; for example, it runs a digital finance research project with PwC Cyprus.
For Indian students, UoL is a good fit for business, finance and analytics master's in Limassol, Cyprus's main business city. Points to weigh: the university is young and not yet ranked globally, it does not publish accommodation prices, and Limassol has the highest rents in Cyprus. Master's graduates can apply to stay up to 12 months after graduation to look for work.
