About the university
Yukon University began in 1963 as the Whitehorse Vocational Training School, became Yukon College in 1983 and was granted university status in 2020. It has thirteen campuses across Yukon, with its main Ayamdigut campus in Whitehorse. For international students it offers one-year certificates, two-year diplomas (such as aviation management, early learning, earth sciences and environmental sciences) and a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration.
International tuition is CAD 400 per credit for all credit courses, plus term fees and compulsory health insurance. Most programme pages do not state total credits, so we list only the programme whose fee can be worked out from published figures. YukonU's programme list marks which programmes are eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit; check it before you choose. Whitehorse has a housing shortage, and the university advises arranging accommodation before you arrive.
