About the university
The Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) is a public French-language university with its main campus in Gatineau, Quebec, and a second campus in Saint-Jérôme. Its activities began in 1971; it was created as the Université du Québec à Hull in 1981 and took its current name in 2002. It has about 7,100–7,500 students and more than a hundred study options, including computer science, cybersecurity, computer and electrical engineering and business administration.
Teaching is in French, so UQO suits Indian students who are fluent in French. International undergraduate tuition is CAD 824.56 per credit in 2026-2027, about CAD 24,737 for a 30-credit year.
