About the university
The Université de Hearst (UdeH) is a small French-language university in Northern Ontario with campuses in Hearst, Kapuskasing and Timmins. It had 331 students at the Fall 2026 start, from more than 24 countries, and says it was the first in Ontario to offer programmes entirely in French. It teaches in blocks: you take one course at a time for three weeks, five courses a semester.
Programmes are a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.A.A.) and a 3-year B.A. in management, B.A. degrees in psychology and in interdisciplinary humanities and social sciences, and a graduate diploma in psychotherapy. All teaching is in French, so UdeH is only an option for Indian students who are fluent in French. International tuition is CAD 850 per course in 2026-2027.
