About the university
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is a public college in eastern Ontario with campuses in Kingston, Brockville and Cornwall. It was created when Ontario set up its college system in 1967, and classes began in Kingston in 1969. Today it offers more than 55 programmes, from diplomas and graduate certificates to honours bachelor's degrees.
Indian students mostly look at SLC's one-year graduate certificates (Cybersecurity, Supply Chain Management, Digital Marketing Communications, Health Care Administration) and its two- and three-year computer and nursing programmes. Kingston is the main campus city; Brockville and Cornwall are smaller. SLC publishes a list of programmes aligned with PGWP field-of-study rules, which is worth checking before you apply.

Admission requirements
Undergraduate
- Diplomas and advanced diplomas: Class 12 (equivalent to an Ontario Secondary School Diploma) with Grade 12 English and Grade 11 Maths; Practical Nursing also needs Grade 12 Maths, Chemistry and Biology.
- BScN: Class 12 with at least 75% across six Grade 12 subjects including English, Maths, Biology and Chemistry. Nursing programmes are highly competitive; apply by 1 February.
- International transcripts are checked against SLC's transcript guidance.
Postgraduate
- Graduate certificates: a two- or three-year college diploma or a university degree, or equivalent. A three-year Indian bachelor's degree meets this.
- Health care education or work experience is recommended for Health Care Administration.

SLC's three campuses are in Kingston (100 Portsmouth Avenue), Brockville (2288 Parkedale Avenue) and Cornwall (2 St. Lawrence Drive).

How much does a graduate certificate at SLC cost?
For 2026-27, Cybersecurity and Digital Marketing Communications in Kingston are CAD 19,055 in tuition (CAD 21,444 with ancillary fees). Supply Chain Management in Cornwall is CAD 17,428 (CAD 19,182 with fees).
Does SLC have a January intake?
Yes for several programmes, including Cybersecurity, Health Care Administration, Computer Programming and Computer Systems Technician (January 2027).
Can I use Duolingo from India?
No. SLC says students from India cannot submit Duolingo, Michigan, Cambridge or EIKEN results. Use IELTS, PTE, TOEFL or CAEL.
Are scholarships open to Indian students?
