About the university
Southeast College is a small public regional college in southeast Saskatchewan, founded in 1975. Its main campus and office are in Weyburn, and it serves more than 70 communities across the region with certificates, diplomas, trades training and adult education.
International students can choose from only three full-time programmes for 2027-28: an 8-month Continuing Care Assistant certificate (Weyburn or Whitewood), an 8-month Heavy Equipment and Truck and Transport Technician programme (Estevan) and a new two-year Digital Marketing Diploma (Weyburn). Seats are limited. These are small rural towns, so expect a quiet life, few part-time jobs and the need to arrange your own housing.

Value: Up to CAD 500, one-time
Eligibility: Open to domestic and international students facing an urgent need such as food, shelter or utilities (not tuition). You must have used other aid first and contact a Student Advisor.

Admission requirements
Undergraduate
- Continuing Care Assistant and Digital Marketing: Grade 12 (Class 12) or equivalent. The care programme also needs police checks from India and Canada, immunisation records and safety training.
- Heavy Equipment and Truck and Transport Technician: Grade 11 with a Grade 11 maths course, or an Accuplacer test.
- Apply online, receive an Offer Letter, then pay a deposit of 50% of tuition and mandatory fees to get your Letter of Acceptance and Provincial Attestation Letter.
Postgraduate
- Southeast College does not offer postgraduate programmes for international students.

Accommodation and living costs
Southeast College does not publish residence or rent costs for international students. Its guides refer students to the Student Handbook and the international office (international@southeastcollege.org) for housing help, so plan to rent privately in Weyburn, Estevan or Whitewood.

How much does Southeast College cost for international students?
For the 2027-28 intake, Continuing Care Assistant costs CAD 18,792 and Heavy Equipment and Truck and Transport Technician CAD 24,784 for the whole 8-month programme. The Digital Marketing Diploma is CAD 15,584 for Year 1 and an estimated CAD 17,765 for Year 2.
When can I apply for 2027?
Applications for the 2027-28 intake open on 2 November 2026. Seats are limited, and paying the CAD 150 application fee does not guarantee a place.
Do I need IELTS with CBSE English?
