About the university

Red Deer Polytechnic is a public polytechnic in Red Deer, halfway between Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta. It teaches bachelor's degrees, diplomas, certificates and trades, and marks on each programme page whether it accepts international students.

For Indian students the main options are the Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics Post-Baccalaureate Certificate (for graduates), computing diplomas, engineering technology diplomas and business programmes.       Admission requirements

      Undergraduate

      • Diplomas and degrees list Alberta Grade 12 requirements, for example 50% in English 30-1 and Math 30-1 for computing, or 60% in ELA 30-1 and Math 30-1 for business; equivalent Class 12 courses are accepted.
      • Engineering technology diplomas also need Physics (60% in Physics 30 for mechanical).
      • International students must pay the CA$1,425 tuition deposit to receive a letter of acceptance.

      Postgraduate

      • The AI & Data Analytics Post-Baccalaureate Certificate needs a four-year Canadian degree in any discipline or equivalent, plus an introductory statistics course. Degrees from outside Canada are assessed from transcripts; a WES or IQAS evaluation may be required.

      Accommodation and living costs

      RDP has individual, apprenticeship and family housing on campus, a five-minute walk from class, with more than 650 residents a year. The residence pages we opened do not list room rates.
