About the university
Okanagan College is a public college in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. Its main campus is in Kelowna, with further campuses in Penticton, Salmon Arm and Vernon. It teaches diplomas, post-baccalaureate diplomas, associate degrees and bachelor's degrees in business, computing, engineering technology, health and the sciences.
For international students, OC publishes a list of programmes open by intake and marks which ones are on its PGWP-eligible list. For Fall 2027 these include the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Health Analytics, the Post Diploma Certificate in Data Science, Computer Information Systems, the BBA, the BCIS degree and engineering technology diplomas. Admission requirements
Undergraduate
- Diplomas and degrees ask for secondary school graduation or equivalent, English 12 (usually 60%) or an approved alternative, and a set maths grade. Each programme page lists its own requirements.
- OC does not publish a separate India page; it assesses Class 12 results as an equivalent.
- Engineering technology diplomas also ask for Physics 11 or 12.
Postgraduate
- Post-baccalaureate diplomas need a recognised bachelor's degree. Health Analytics prefers degrees in science, nursing, engineering, psychology or management; others can be admitted after OC's algebra and calculus readiness tests.
- OC asks applicants with degrees from outside Canada for a WES evaluation for Health Analytics, and strongly recommends one for Accounting.

Accommodation and living costs
OC has furnished residences at its Kelowna, Vernon and Salmon Arm campuses, and a homestay programme. The international housing page lists homestay costs effective 1 September 2026; it does not list residence prices.

OC teaches on four campuses across the Okanagan Valley, with the widest choice of programmes in Kelowna.

Most diplomas and degrees show an estimated first year of about CA$26,532 on the programme page. Engineering technology diplomas are higher, about CA$36,500 to CA$38,100 for the first year.
What IELTS score does Okanagan College need?
OC's general admission requirements list IELTS Academic 6.0 in all bands, TOEFL iBT 79, PTE 56 or Duolingo 105. Practical Nursing needs more.
Are there scholarships for new Indian students?
