About the university
Loyalist College is a public college in Belleville, Ontario, on the Bay of Quinte between Toronto and Ottawa. It has campuses in Belleville and Port Hope and smaller sites in Bancroft and Tyendinaga, and runs over 70 full-time programmes.
Loyalist focuses on hands-on, career-focused programmes: computer systems, mechatronics, electrical and construction engineering technology, biotechnology, health and community services, and a few one- and two-year graduate certificates such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and Cyber Security.
For Indian students the attractions are lower tuition than many Toronto colleges (CAD 16,695 a year at the standard 2026-27 rate) and lower living costs in a small city. Loyalist has suspended a number of programmes since Fall 2025 and several popular programmes, such as Practical Nursing and the BScN, are now open to domestic students only. Check that your programme is open to international applicants.
Belleville is a small city with a limited part-time job market compared with the Greater Toronto Area. Loyalist has 606 residence beds on its Belleville campus.
