About the university

International Business University (IBU) is a small private business university in downtown Toronto, with a second campus in Ottawa. It was set up in 2015 and received consent from Ontario's Minister of Colleges and Universities in December 2020, after review by PEQAB. It offers a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), several MBA specialisations and, from 2026, an MSc in Applied Artificial Intelligence. All teaching is in English.

Indian students look at IBU for its MBA, which takes about 16 months with classes two days a week, and for its analytics, information systems and AI options. IBU says its MBA programmes are PGWP eligible. International tuition for 2026-2027 is about CAD 18,500 to 24,000 a year before bursaries. IBU is a private institution with a short track record, so check each programme's consent status and PGWP eligibility on IRCC's site before you pay a deposit.
