About the university

Collège de l'Île is Prince Edward Island's publicly funded French-language community college. It began as La Société éducative de l'Î.-P.-É. in 1993 and took its current name in 2008. Teaching takes place in Charlottetown, often in a hybrid format, and covers health, business, education and social services. Programmes are taught in French, so it suits Indian students who already have good French.

Eight two-year diplomas show international fees for 2026-27, from about CAD 10,600 to 12,300 a year in tuition, including practical nursing, business management and entrepreneurship, sustainable tourism management and accounting. Shorter programmes such as personal support worker and administrative assistant show no international fee. There is no student residence, and the college warns that housing in PEI is hard to find; it estimates a single student's yearly budget at CAD 40,000 to 45,000 including tuition.
