About the university

The Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) is New Brunswick's public French-language college, with five campuses in Bathurst, Campbellton, Dieppe, Edmundston and the Acadian Peninsula. It offers certificates and diplomas through schools of business and IT, trades and technology, health sciences, community services and natural resources. All teaching is in French, so it suits Indian students who already have B2-level French.

International tuition is a flat CAD 10,770 per college year at 2027-28 rates, lower than most English-language colleges. CCNB publishes a list of PGWP-eligible programmes, including data analysis, application development, networking and security, supply chain management and practical nursing. As a francophone college outside Quebec, it also points students to a federal pilot programme that may lead to permanent residence. New Brunswick living costs are estimated at at least CAD 18,000 a year.

      Admission requirements

      Undergraduate

      • Most diplomas need a secondary school diploma (Class 12) with maths; practical nursing also needs Grade 12 biology at 65%. International applicants must also pass the CCNB admission test (CAD 150).
      • Apply online to up to two programmes per college year and pay the CAD 100 fee. Applications are assessed as they arrive from November, and some programmes fill up, so apply early.
      • After an offer you pay a CAD 500 confirmation deposit, then a first-session payment; the first-session payment is refundable only if IRCC refuses your study permit.

      Postgraduate

      • CCNB offers college certificates and diplomas, not postgraduate degrees. Indian graduates can apply to its diplomas with their secondary and degree documents; there is no separate postgraduate route.

      Documents

      • Valid passport
      • Official Class 12 transcript and certificate (and degree documents if you have them); certified copies are accepted, with French translations and a translator's attestation if the originals are not in French
      • French test result at B2 (TCF, TEF Canada, DELF) if you studied in another language
      • CCNB admission test result
      • Proof of funds; study permit
