About the university
Cégep de Shawinigan is a public CEGEP in Shawinigan, in Quebec's Mauricie region between Montreal and Quebec City. Its technical DECs include computer science, mechanical engineering technology, biomedical laboratory technology, laboratory techniques (biotechnology and analytical chemistry), nursing and early childhood education, which the college names as priority programmes for tuition exemptions. All teaching is in French, and the college asks most international applicants for French at level C1.
