About the university
The Victorian Institute of Technology (VIT) is a private provider founded in 1998, with campuses in Melbourne, Sydney, Geelong and Adelaide. It teaches a Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems (BITS), a Master of Information Technology and Systems (MITS), a Bachelor of Business, an MBA and a Diploma of Business, along with vocational courses in cookery, hospitality, IT and carpentry, and English courses. Indian students mostly look at VIT's MITS, with specialisations in business analytics, cyber security, information systems and software engineering, and its MBA. Both cost A$48,000 on campus for two years at 2026 rates, which is lower than most universities, and there are several intakes a year. Fees for vocational courses are also on VIT's fees page.
