About Sydney Institute of Business and Technology
Sydney Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT) is a private pathway college that shares Western Sydney University's Sydney City Campus on Elizabeth Street. It teaches a Foundation Program and diplomas in business, IT, engineering, health, communication and creative industries, and social science. Each diploma is equal to the first year of a matching Western Sydney University bachelor's degree.
Indian students use SIBT when their Class 12 marks are below direct entry to Western Sydney University. Finishing a diploma with an overall average of 50% or more gives entry to second year of the linked degree with eight units of credit. SIBT is a college, not a university, and is not ranked itself; your degree is awarded by Western Sydney University.
