About the university
Bond University is Australia's first private, independent, not-for-profit university. It opened on the Gold Coast in 1989 and is small, with about 3,500 students, so classes are small and the student-to-teacher ratio is about 11 to 1.
Bond is known for teaching quality: it was named Australia's top university for teaching in the Australian Financial Review Best Universities Ranking in 2024 and 2025. It is ranked =518 in the world by QS for 2027. The Bond Business School holds EQUIS accreditation.
Its biggest difference is the calendar. Bond teaches three full semesters a year, so a bachelor's degree can take two years and many master's degrees one year and four months. Total fees are high, but you finish sooner. Indian students mostly look at data analytics, the MBA, accounting, finance, project management, hotel and tourism management and the new enterprise AI degrees.
The campus is at Robina on the Gold Coast, a beach city in south-east Queensland. Bond says room rent off campus starts at about A$200 a week.
