About the university

The Australian Institute of Music (AIM) is a private music school founded in 1968, with campuses in The Rocks in Sydney and on King Street in Melbourne. It teaches diplomas, bachelor's degrees and a Master of Music in contemporary and classical performance, composition, creative technology (production), musicology, music theatre and music business.

Indian students look at AIM for practical music degrees with three intakes a year and a flat fee across its undergraduate courses. International students take the bachelor's over three years (nine study periods). AIM is not a university and is not in world rankings. Entry is by interview, portfolio or audition rather than marks alone.
