History of University Of Guelph
The University of Guelph is one of the best research universities in Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1964, after the commandment of Ontario Agriculture College and Ontario Veterinary College. The university is affiliated with the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC), Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL), International Association of Universities (IAU), Council of Ontario Universities (COU), Ontario Network of Women in engineering and Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE). It is ranked #581-590 in QS Global World Rankings 2022. In 2020, U of G ranks in the Top 400 in the World and Top 15 in Canada. Green grass and a mix of modern and traditional architecture characterize the University's open, welcoming campus. Victorian towers, modern concrete, glass, and steel, hand-hewn century limestone, brick walkways, landscaped plazas, and a 165-hectare Arboretum are among the highlights of the 330-hectare (817-acre) complex. The university has since grown to include more than 3,200 students, and over 1,500 faculty as of fall 2018.
